THE REVOLUTIONARY seatbelt-securing garment Bestvest has won a 4-star rating from Able Magazine, the UK’s largest disability lifestyle magazine.
Bestvest was picked out on Unwin Safety Systems’ stand at Mobility Roadshow by Able Magazine’s assistant editor Tom Jamison.
Mr Jamison said: ‘Bestvest was a product that I really liked and I thought it well worthy of a four star rating.
‘As Able Magazine is the largest disability lifestyle magazine, there’s a lot of kudos and associated trust that comes with having that mark of approval.
‘I hope this is a product that people will see has got four stars and think - Well, that’s worth buying.’
Unwin Safety Systems has the exclusive distribution rights for Bestvest in the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and the USA for both the disabled and community transport markets.
Bestvest was developed by Scottish businessman Jim Halliday, who wanted a safer way of transporting his disabled daughter Chelsea, and inventor Hugh Thomson.
Bestvest is worn like a body warmer. Its purpose is to hold a seatbelt in the optimum position across shoulder, chest and lap, to eliminate the risk of slippage off the shoulder and thereby reduce the risk of injury in a crash.
Bestvest also helps disabled people to sustain a safe and comfortable posture during transport. Available in a range of sizes, it can be used by adults and children aged 5 and upwards.
Bestvest will be featured in Able Magazine’s September-October issue. For more information, see http://www.ablemagazine.co.uk
