UNWIN Safety Systems won the Community Transport Association’s award for Best Exhibitor at the national Access11 show in Manchester.
Unwin’s stand was unanimously voted for by the judges, who also praised the support that the accessible transport company has given to the CTA for more than 25 years.
Gerry O’Connor, Unwin sales and marketing director, said: ‘The Unwin stand is a team effort. We are all pleased to get the CTA’s award for Best Exhibitor. It recognises the consistent quality Unwin is renowned for. It’s great for us all.
Personally, I always like to be on the stand to hear what people say about our new product offerings and innovations because that is where you get the best feedback, from professionals who know what they are talking about.’
Alongside Mr O’Connor in Manchester were Unwin’s chief executive Andrew Creese, the company’s new director of operations Nick Coleman, sales managers Andrew Palmer and Darren Brooke, and technical advisor Bob Appleyard.
Also honoured at Access11 was Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, which won the best Local Authority Award for the long-standing support its members and officers have given to the community transport sector. This prize has been sponsored by Unwin Safety Systems for several years.
Unwin will next be exhibiting from May 23 – 25 at the APSE Fleet Waste & Ground Services show at Aviemore in Scotland. Gerry O’Connor and Darren Brooke will be at the exhibition with Unwin equipment including new products EasiSit and HAL, and the wheelchair restraint system Quattro.
Access11 is the UK’s only specialist national exhibition focused on the community and local authority transport markets.
