Unwin Safety Systems launches the Innotrax Flat Floor

Unwin Safety Systems, world leaders in safety solutions for the transport of wheelchair users has launched the all new Innotrax Flat Floor rail system. The innovative new range provides a complete flooring solution for securing seats and wheelchairs in a vehicle while offering maximum space by the simple removal of protruding internal wheel arches.

In standard vehicle conversions, rear wheel arch intrusion limits the internal floor space and reduces the number of wheelchair and non-wheelchair occupants that can be transported. With the Innotrax Flat Floor system from Unwin, this problem is eliminated creating the potential to maximise the internal space of the vehicle. This results in a probable increase in passenger capacity within vehicle fleets and hence reduced mileage costs. Specifically designed for the Mercedes Sprinter and Volkswagen Crafter, the Innotrax Flat Floor is glued to a 100 mm raised platform to allow suspension clearance and provides a smooth, comfortable ride for all passengers.

As with all Unwin products, the Innotrax Flat Floor has been stringently tested to ensure maximum safety. The system is fully tested to M2 standards and has been witnessed by both the designated UK Vehicle Type Approval Authority (Vehicle Certification Agency and TÜV Product Services), a leading European expert on testing and certification.

This new floor and rail system provides one of the quickest and easiest solutions on the market. Based on a standard accessible vehicle, the Innotrax Flat Floor can be installed within approximately four hours which greatly increases output for vehicle convertors.
